Submission and Domination ♥

domwide

Second Life has a very bold, interesting and fun side. Submission and Domination.

Although I am not an active participant of the whole S & M roleplay, from  time to time,  I would hang out with my best friend Abbey and she would introduce me to both fun and serious side of domination. Now, I know I am on the dominant side. a FemDom, since I know what I want and I will get it when I want it. My submission is only for the one I love and no one else. I can’t fully tell if I can totally partake S & M as I know that it will take a tremendous amount of time to fully understand the whole role play. S & M is not a game or simply about ridiculous sexual activities and tortures. It is a lifestyle, there is a culture, and it has it’s own disciplined community.

If there is anything that I truly enjoy about S & M is that it helped me get over my inhibitions and I learned about the many fetishes of people. You get to know the other side of a person, most of the time, the adventurous or wild part of their persona. On Second Life, there are many sims you can visit to witness or help you understand the lifestyle. Some of the places that I went to are the following:

  1. The Chamber
  2. The House of V
  3.  Sole Desire

Call it BDSM, S&M or Fetish, there should be no judgment on the people who tries them. All of us, RL or SL has a fantasy of becoming either submissive or dominant and sometimes it takes some kink to bring that hidden side of our personality. Don’t be shy to share what you think. So, are you a dominant or submissive?

The Gift of Christmas ♥

xmas dawn

The Holiday is here and everyone is getting crazy with all the fun stuff happening both in real life and Second life. In real life, I will be working on both Christmas eve and day, not fun, I know but, I need to do it since I will be on and off holiday on January. I need to cover tons of hours at work so I can afford to travel on my birthday month. Dec 30 and onward, it will be my time with family who will be coming over from Canada so, no work for me on those days and that is when I will be in my lazy mode, I will be in my bed watching re-runs of my fave tv show while eating lots of chocolates – Hello Diabetes! (LOL).

Christmas is the season for giving and there are sooo many generous store owners on SL that are giving away awesome gifts. Be sure to visit your favorite stores because for sure, they have something amazing in store for you. I received my gifts very early this December. I am not sure if I am allowed to say this but I will say it anyways. The great Meli Imako has assigned me to do photographs for her marketplace. It is an honor to be working for someone who has been sharing her knowledge and talent in creating and building objects on SL. I will do my very best to showcase the beauty of her items through my photography, I so hope to give justice to it. I will also be featured as a the newest blogger on SL, stay tuned for that. I shall write a blog post dedicated to that adventure … I am so excited!

When I was young, I did not get gifts every Christmas. I grew up living a very simple life in RL. The money that my mom had was only enough to buy rice and fish and I remember that every Christmas eve and day, we are just inside our house waiting for the day to be over. Having new clothes and shoes for the holidays is considered a luxury for me and my siblings. What others considered as a normal thing every Christmas is considered too fancy for us. At a young age, I understood that I can never have what other kids had. During my teens, I was gifted with a very nice top but since I was not used to receiving gifts, I gave it back to the person who gave it to me because I was too shy. I felt not deserving of that gift, I was terrified and do not know what to do with it. A part of me loves it so much but a part of me is too embarrass to be seen holding a fancy wrapped box. The person who gave it to me told me to keep it and that it is mine. It was a nice feeling, and I never forgot that day, that feeling, that moment.

We did not have a lot in RL, but we have just enough to survive during those times. I grew up understanding the value of having simple things. There were many gifts that my mom has given to me and my siblings. The gift of education and contentment. Now that I am an adult, I became very ambitious, I work so hard and I always do what will make me happy. I am not into material things but every now and then, I would spoil myself with something really beautiful – of course, I also spoil my mom with everything she likes as she deserves it more than I do.

This Christmas,  I hope that you will all get the gifts that you like to get but always remember to count your blessings. What’s important is your love for everything and everyone. I hope that you get to spend the holidays with your loved ones. I wish everyone good health, peace of mind and endless happiness. God bless you all and Merry Christmas!

Explore like a Bee Inworld ♥

When I created my Second Life, I was aiming to be a singer because I just love singing. I do not have a professional singing voice but I believe I can carry a tune (Reverb effects can make a huge difference LOL). It was my real life cousin who told me that I can be anything I want to be in this virtual community. I signed up on year 2012 but it was year 2013 when I decided to download the SL viewer and first logged in to SL. Inworld was a beauty but I do not know where to go and what to do. I kept asking myself what is there to do on Second Life?

Exploring the grid is a must if you are a new resident. There are many creative people who invested a lot of time, money and creativity on the many sims. I always say that Second Life is a fantasy world, therefore one must make the most of it. From the majestic castles and manors to the amazing villages created for those who love to role play … you can’t help but just be in awe. Do not forget to visit underwater sights, so many residents have created sea creatures that are beyond your imagination. Always visit the Second Life Destination Guide for more information on where to find the best sims to explore.

If you love music and want to entertain people, you can try and be a singer, dancer, hostess or a club DJ. There are clubs or groups that offers training if you want to be employed inworld. You can also be a fashion designer, a model, builder of residential and commercial structures.

I mentioned I love singing but my dream of becoming a singer on SL has not happened yet, but I am getting there slowly – I just need to practice more at those cute Karaoke bars inworld. Right now, I am just enjoying being a DJ, an assistant manager of a very popular strip club and a blogger … as you can see, I am a busy bee on SL (LOL). Whenever I have nothing to do, I still explore the gorgeous sims of the grid and make friends with some of the residents I bump into. It is always fun to meet new people, you learn from them and they learn from you.

I hope you will find new things to do on Second Life and take advantage of the beauty of this community. If you happen to see me, please say Hi … don’t worry, I don’t bite at all :p

The New Dawn ♥

The new Dawn – click to see full image

For the longest time, I was wearing the Al Vulo Sarah Shine Sunkissed Skin. I bought it year 2013 and I promised myself that I won’t ever change how my avi looked. Many people liked my avatar, I get many compliments and so I was very confident that there is no need for me to give in to this whole mesh head craze.

Well, I was wrong. I gave in to the craze and maybe I will not regret it (LOL). When I first showed this to my boyfriend, he was a bit hesitant and he felt like it does not represent me. We were both really feeling weird about me having a new skin as we are both so used to the sweet image that my previous avatar has. It was my friend Abbey Bigboots who tagged me to a blog post on Facebook and encouraged me to check out this very cute skin. I thought it was just one of those mesh head + skins that I will probably try the demo and then trash it. I am not going to lie, I did not like this skin when I bought it and wore it for the first three days … I kinda miss the “sweet looking Dawn”. So I wore the skin and never took it off. I stared at it and was trying to figure out what hair will look best in her and how will I make her look sweet.

Last night, after a long day at RL work and before going to bed, I logged in to SL. I stared at her for a long time and rotated her while she was on a pose stand. I dressed her up with my favorite dress, hair and shoes that my old skin hasn’t worn before. I think she is starting to be the Dawn that I want her to be.  She has that classy, kinda dominant and that “dont you dare f*ck with me” look (Yay!). I think what really cracked me up was when my boyfriend’s avatar saw the new me all glammed up and I was trying to make my avi flirt with him and then he said “I feel like I am cheating on the old Dawn but, it is allowed.” (LOL) Such a horndog :p

dawn2015wow

I would like to give props to the gorgeous Lara Hurley – she is the creator of my skin. She was very sweet when I reached out to her and asked so many noob questions regarding my new skin. I promised her that I will send her a photo of Dawn once I am done making her the “Dawn” I want her to be. By the way, Lara Hurley also informed me that she will be updating the Aria Skin applier, adding make up and tattoo layers, since Alex Logo Mesh Head  was updated recently. If you were like me who purchased the Aria Skin Applier exclusively made for Alex Logo, then be sure to visit the store one of these days and hit the Redeliver Terminal for an updated version of the skin applier.

I also want to say thank you to Abbey Bigboots and Melangel Thespian who guided me so patiently on how to apply the Omegas and the default mesh head (Yes, I was that noob!). Special thanks also to my pretty sistah for life Sibyl Vane, the super helpful group members of Omega Appliers Systems Support and Fifty Linden Friday for giving me tips and sharing their knowledge on how to use the huds and where to get the best deals to make my avatar look even more beautiful.

I am happy with the new me on Second life. I don’t want to sound so shallow, but I realized that I really need a change and this new skin is a perfect representation of the new role I am playing inworld. This is definitely The New Dawn.
